Can I run a golf simulator studio with no staff on site?
Yes, that is what OpenTeeSheet is built for. Golfers book and pay online, a door PIN is issued once payment clears and expires when the session ends, and if a lock refuses a code you are alerted by email and text. PINs work with igloohome, RemoteLock, Kisi, Seam and Salto KS locks that you connect to your venue.
How does OpenTeeSheet protect against no-shows?
You set a cancellation window for your venue, from 30 minutes up to 7 days. A golfer who cancels before it is refunded automatically; a golfer who cancels inside it keeps the booking cancelled but the prepaid payment is not refunded. Golfers see the rule before they pay. Staff can also mark a booking as a no-show from the dashboard. You can also set a whole-dollar no-show fee: golfers agree to it before paying and their card is saved, and if their door code is never used the fee is charged automatically through your own Stripe account. It is off until you set it.
What does OpenTeeSheet cost for venues?
A flat monthly subscription starting at $149/month. There are zero commissions on every plan, forever — the price never scales with your booking volume.
Does GolfNow charge commission?
Yes. GolfNow and similar marketplaces typically charge 20–25% of every booking. On $10,000/month in bookings, that's $2,000–$2,500/month going to the platform. OpenTeeSheet charges a flat fee so you keep 100% of every booking.
Is it free for golfers?
Yes. Golfers can search tee times, browse availability, and book — all for free, no account required to browse.
Can simulator studios use OpenTeeSheet?
Yes. OpenTeeSheet is built for both outdoor courses and indoor golf simulator studios. It includes 24/7 door PIN automation, online booking and Stripe payment processing.
How long does it take to get set up?
Setup is self-serve and takes about an hour: add your venue, bays, hours, and pricing, connect your own Stripe account, and connect a smart lock if you run unmanned. You can run OpenTeeSheet alongside your current system until you're ready to switch your traffic over.
Who owns the money and the customer data?
You do. Payments run through your own Stripe account and settle directly to you. Your customer list is exportable at any time. No lock-in contract.
